NADMED Launches Award to Boost Health Discoveries

NADMED, a Finnish biotech company, has introduced the NADMED Award 2026 to foster new findings in the study of metabolomics. This award aims to help scientists and doctors explore important cell processes related to metabolism, aging, and diseases. By offering access to their advanced metabolomics platform, NADMED wants to encourage new discoveries, teamwork, and innovation in the medical field. The award has three categories to support different stages of product development: Innovative Ideas, Advanced Research, and Clinical Data Research. Anyone from universities, labs, drug companies, or biotech innovators can apply. A panel of global experts will judge the submissions. Winners will receive special metabolomics kits, expert advice, and measurement services worth up to $30,000. The results will be announced on February 28, 2026. Kai Herdin, NADMED’s marketing chief, said the award helps scientists study parts of biology that are often overlooked. By sharing their tools, they hope to speed up discoveries that could change how we understand cells and diseases. NADMED, founded in 2022 from the University of Helsinki, can measure important molecules directly from biological samples, which could lead to valuable insights for research and clinical use. Professor Charles Brenner, part of the award jury, believes this award will stimulate discoveries across many areas of biology and medicine.
