A recently conducted study revealed that a new medication, known as Inclisiran, has shown promising results in lowering cholesterol levels. This drug, given as an injection twice a year, was found to reduce ‘bad’ cholesterol (LDL) by approximately 50%. This is great news for patients who struggle with high cholesterol, as it offers a convenient and effective new treatment option. As a pharmacist, I’m excited about this development as it provides an alternative for those who may not tolerate or prefer not to take daily statin pills.
