Recipharm, a company that helps other drug companies manufacture their medicines, is investing millions of dollars to expand its operations in the United States. The goal is to improve its ability to produce sterile medicines, including biologics and advanced therapies, which are often used to treat serious conditions like cancer<\/a> and rare diseases. This investment will not only increase the company\u2019s production capacity but also help speed up the process of developing and delivering these life-saving treatments to patients. <\/p>\n

Greg Behar, the CEO of Recipharm, explained, ‘The need for biologics and advanced therapies is growing rapidly, and drug manufacturers must have the right tools, expertise, and technology to meet this demand. By expanding our sterile manufacturing capabilities, we are preparing to support the next generation of medical treatments. This investment allows us to assist more drug development programs, from early research to large-scale production, while helping our customers bring their therapies to market faster and more efficiently. The US is a key market for our customers, and these improvements will make Recipharm a top choice for companies developing the next breakthrough treatments.’<\/p>\n

To further support its customers in North America and Europe, Recipharm has also upgraded its aseptic manufacturing platform. This upgrade aims to make operations more flexible and allow for quicker technology transfers and faster development of complex sterile products. The company is now offering a wider range of sterile manufacturing services, including support for early-stage drug development, testing, process validation, and the final filling and packaging of medicines. These services cover the entire life cycle of a drug, from raw materials to commercial production.<\/p>\n

Additionally, in February, Recipharm sold one of its manufacturing sites in Yavne, Israel, to Scinai Immunotherapeutics. Under their agreement, Scinai will handle early-stage development at this site, while Recipharm will focus on later-stage manufacturing, such as large-scale production. This partnership ensures that both companies can work together efficiently to bring new treatments to patients.<\/p>\n

Another company, Hovione, has also invested heavily in its US operations over the past year. In November, Hovione expanded its manufacturing site in New Jersey with a $100 million investment to double its capacity for a key process called spray drying, which is used in the production of certain medicines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
