Starting in October 2025, patients in the U.S. without insurance will be able to buy certain AstraZeneca drugs directly from the company\u2019s new online pharmacy, AstraZeneca Direct. This service will offer discounts of up to 70% off the usual list prices for medications like Farxiga (used for diabetes<\/a> and kidney<\/a> disease) and Airsupra (used for asthma). The Flumist flu vaccine will also be available for home delivery. Farxiga, one of AstraZeneca\u2019s top-selling drugs, costs $599.72 for a month\u2019s supply, while Airsupra costs $489.25 per inhaler. However, AstraZeneca has already capped the monthly cost for inhaled asthma medicines at $35 since June 2025. Joris Silon, AstraZeneca\u2019s U.S. president, said the new platform will make medications more affordable and convenient for patients. This move comes as U.S. drug prices face pressure to lower<\/a> costs, with President Trump pushing for prices to match those in other developed countries.
